Another weekend spent in Georgetown for "Atopia". Artopia is a grassroots celebration of artists of all genres. The day was filled with colorful people, art and music--some pleasant, some...not so much. We saw kids playing amazing fiddle and banjo music, Gothic performance artists slithering their way down the sidewalk, numerous colorful Mohawks, dance troupes, funky bicycles, amazing hula hoop routines, power tool races--yes, grown men making car like contraptions out of power tools and racing (or crashing) them, graffiti artists and much, much more. The images today are of a colorful character who was acting as a video game for kids to play. The child would then work the control handles thinking they were controlling the man...very creative, very interactive...and possibly very drug induced! But fun nonetheless! (Two images were required to "set the scene".)
Shot Thought: Mainly needed the sun at my back today as it was very bright and directly overhead.
