I have heard it said that life is made up of the "little moments". It is in these instances that time stands still and all is good in the world. Today, I had the extraordinary opportunity of having one of these moments. While walking the Sausalito waterfront with my daughter, we happened upon this young man singing and playing his guitar. We sat down on a bench for what seemed like an eternity in absolute amazement. He had the sweetest and most passionate voice. Perhaps it was his outer shell--worn jeans, rumpled hair, sorrowful eyes, a paper cup on the ground for offerings...but the sound that was rising up from his heart and coming out through his voice was pure perfection.
Shot Thought: Main difficulty in this shot was exposure. The backdrop of San Fransisco Bay was bright and the sun was directly overhead. Finally wound up at f3.5 and 1/800 for best exposure. ISO 200
