This weeks challenge--the back-lit portrait. This is always a challenge for a photographer--the result usually being a silhouette--which can be a wonderful effect--unless you want to see the subjects face. How's it done? One needs to up the shutter speed and lower the aperture. This image was shot in the evening as the sun was setting. The sun was right behind the subjects head. The shutter speeds was set at 1/2500 sec. and the aperture was set at f1.8.
